JOB TITLE: Teacher
LOCATION: Lagos

JOB SUMMARY:
A Teacher is responsible for supervising, educating and supporting students to help them accomplish learning benchmarks and develop their academic potential. He/She is responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment in order to optimize student capabilities and develop their love of learning.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Creating, assigning and grading various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays and projects
• Supervising classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
• Establishing and enforcing rules of behavior for students in the classroom
• Preparing lessons, units and projects to complete learning objectives
• Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, units and projects
• Encouraging students to explore learning opportunities and career paths
• Tracking and evaluating student academic progress
• Helping students improve study methods and habits
• Planning and implementing educational activities and events.
• Ensuring classroom is clean and orderly.
• Preparing and distributing periodic progress reports and semester report cards.
• Attending parent-teacher meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field with cognate teaching experience
• Proven work experience as a teacher
• Experience with nursery and primary school age group
• Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to students’ various learning needs
• Knowledge of appropriate teaching methods & learning psychology, styles and strategies
• Knowledge of CBSE Curriculum is an added advantage.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
