Main Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, networking, and security, with a keen eye for optimizing system performance and reliability.

Job Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and software applications.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.

•Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.

• Ensure system security by implementing security protocols, access controls, and conducting risk assessments.

•Automate system administration tasks and develop scripts or applications to streamline processes.

•Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

•Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.

Job Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree /Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

•Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT role.

•Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and networking protocols.

•Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

•Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud computing.

•Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and IT security best practices.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

•Excellent communication and documentation skills.

•Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
