Job Purpose: The Business Development Executive is responsible for implementing business development activities by identifying new leads and opportunities. They contribute to defining the strategic plan, coordinate projects, and aim for sustainable and profitable growth aligned with the organization’s vision and strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

• Execution of identified marketing and business development strategies of the company and bring up new ideas that will enable the company to achieve her overall income target.
• Build long-term relationships, sustenance and deepening business relationships with the existing clients.
• Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients.
• Marketing of Insurance products and services to High Net – worth Individuals, Retails and Corporate Organisations.
• Prospecting and execution of bidding Opportunities the Oil & Gas and Public Sector.
• Work with the Technical Department on the renewal of existing clients and claims handling.
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
• Collaborate with the team in execution of social media and digital Marketing Strategies.
• Maintain business profitability and ensure compliance with all regulatory directives and NAICOM guidelines.
• Prepares weekly and monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the department’s marketing and business development activities to the Managing Director
• Carry out research on the potential clients’ insurance needs and communicate appropriate proposals.
• Work with technical department on sending quotations to different insurance companies as laid down by the management for a competitive outcome.
• Provide feedback and after-sales support to the clients.

Job Requirements

• Demonstrated results in business development in the insurance/reinsurance market
• Minimum of 3-5 years cognate experience in the insurance industry.
• Relationship development and account management skills
• Ability to interact credibly with clients
