Our Client an Entrepreneurship Sustainability Hub is looking to hire an exceptional individual to join their team as a Partnerships Lead. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of the SDGs. The Partnerships Lead will be responsible for Leveraging synergies between the organization, program participants and partners such as international foundations, corporates, civic organizations, governments, among others with the goal to support entrepreneurs in countries where little or no support is available, scale proven entrepreneurial solutions and ultimately to help build a stronger and collaborative ecosystem for impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Management
● Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Partnerships team, including third-party vendors and consultants.
● Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment and synergy across all organizational initiatives.
2. Business Development
● Design and continuously refine a robust partnership strategy aligned with the organizations strategic goals.
● Identify, initiate, and nurture high-value partnerships with corporates, investors, government agencies, NGOs, and development partners.
● Manage the end-to-end business development pipeline, including prospecting, engagement, negotiation, and closing.
● Conduct market and sector research to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
● Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and sales materials that highlight the organizations value proposition.
● Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely delivery of partnership outcomes.
● Produce regular reports tracking partnership performance, impact metrics, and project outcomes.
● Represent Impact Hub Lagos at key ecosystem and industry events
3. Grants & Fundraising
● Identify and pursue grant opportunities that align with the organizations focus areas.
● Develop clear and effective Theories of Change for programs and initiatives.
● Write persuasive grant proposals and manage application processes.
● Prepare project budgets, work plans, and monitor grant compliance and reporting.
● Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors and funding agencies.
4. Marketing & Communications
● Collaborate with the communications team to establish and implement marketing strategies that drive visibility and engagement.
● Develop promotional campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms to showcase the organizations programs and services.
● Conduct market research to identify opportunities for brand growth and positioning
5. Ecosystem Engagement & Outreach
● Support and engage the organizations program participants to enhance their partnerships and investment readiness.
● Collaborate with the organizations Association’s Global Partnerships Team and other local/global hubs to share best practices and co-create initiatives.
● Participate in regular touch points and meetings within the global network
Job Requirements
● Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in Business Development, Fundraising, Grant Writing, or Account Management.
● Demonstrate an ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
● Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and persuasive proposal writing.
● Have strong analytical and presentation skills.
● Are comfortable switching between strategic thinking and operational execution.
● Have an eye for detail and a natural sense of aesthetics when preparing documents and proposals.
● Are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with CRM tools.
● Are collaborative, self-motivated, and adaptable to fast-paced, multicultural environments.
