Main Purpose of the Job

A Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packaging process at their company, ensuring that all products are properly packaged and labeled before being shipped out to customers. Packaging Supervisors may also be tasked with developing new packaging methods or techniques in order to improve efficiency or reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency

• Schedule and coordinate packaging team members to meet production demands

• Train new hires on proper packaging procedures and company policies

• Inspect products for defects and quality assurance

• Assist in the development of packaging prototypes

• Work with vendors to procure packaging materials

• Negotiate pricing for packaging materials

• Manage inventory of packaging materials

• Develop and implement packaging process improvements

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth product flow

• Generate reports on packaging department productivity

• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies

Job Requirements

• Graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

• 8-10 years’ experience in similar fields

• Experience in Bottling plant, Oil filling packaging machine, Jerri-can filling

• Effective communication (both written and oral) skill

• Strong organization and management skill

• Proven leadership and supervisory experience

• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Critical thinking skills

• Ability to handle workplace issues and improve processes
