Our client, a Technology Solutions company is looking to hire a competent Technology Sales Specialist. The Technology Sales Specialist will adequately support the Sales Department in driving the innovation and Sales of several Technology solutions for our business. The success factors will be an ability to remain innovative in thinking, suggest new ideas on applications required by our clients and actually ensure that they are result oriented for our clients. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent research, critical thinking, communication skills and ability to persuade. You should be flexible and able to work independently or in a team. You will report to the Head of Sales.

Key Accountabilities

· Ability to see opportunities and provide solutions to clients gaps.  

· Conduct market analyses, analyzing both product lines and the overall profitability of the business.

· They develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.

· Review our business, products and solutions, identify the gaps and recommend what solutions we can provide.

  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business.
  • An individual who have worked in capacity of Business Analyst will also be suitable for this role.
  • Analyzing customers’ needs and recommending products
  • Discussing products with customers and explaining technology solutions to customers.
  • Writing reports and proposals for vendors or clients related to technical products
  • Finding new customers and creating a sales relationship with potential buyers
  • Building relationships with clients and encouraging long-term buyers
  • Connecting with customers after a sales pitch to answer questions or provide advice
  • Making sales pitches at demonstrations or conference events to persuade an audience to buy an item
  • Meeting sale quotas and commission goals
  • Engaging Application Developers and clarifying customer requirements.
  • Negotiating prices with customers
  • Tracking sales and sharing sales information with a manager or team lead
  • Researching the current market trends and learning about new technology products
  • Keeping customers informed about new technological products.
  • Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products.
  • Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met.
  • Reporting to management about sales made.
  • Updating records of customer communications and contact information.
  • Influencing & Negotiating – Ability to convince Internal and External Stakeholders toward making decisions that would benefit the organization. This also involves being able to reach an agreement with External Stakeholders in favour of the organization.
  • Analytical Skills – Able to collect, read, and correctly interpret data and information, proffer recommendations, and develop plans that enable effective decision making to drive the achievement of positive business results.
  • Planning & Organizing – Utilize systematic processes and orderly procedures to execute deliverables on projects. Ensure all projects are accurate, precise, and executed on time and in full as required.
  • Assertiveness – Exudes confidence, not aggression. It involves persuasive skills, demonstrating initiative, and communicating clearly to drive home a point.
  • Good Teamwork– Display a synergetic attitude and commitment to working with individuals and teammates towards achieving a shared goal. It involves collaboration, knowledge sharing, and supporting fellow team members to win. 

Technology Sales Specialist Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Information technology (IT), Computer science, Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience
  • Experience in Technology and Solution sales.
  • Selling strategies and marketing techniques.
  • Ability to engage critical stake holders.
  • Practicable Technology knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to persuade.
  • An agile and adaptable personality
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and data modeling skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team-working skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
