Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos State

Our Client, a Technology-driven solutions company is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer. The Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for managing a growing team of executives across Sales, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Customer Experience specializations and for all existing and introduced revenue lines (Products, Application Development, Capital Market, Infrastructure and Biometric Solutions, among others) towards ensuring the company’s revenue growth through direct sales, marketing campaigns and distribution partnerships.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Grow
For a sales leader, growth is narrow and the focus is on hitting targets. As CRO, we expect that you will see growth as broad and holistic: opening new paths to revenue and build the machinery to get there. To achieve this, you will:
• Developing and communicating growth strategies with CEO, COO, and board of directors.
• Setting up the process of generating revenue.
• Unifying processes to offer the customer the best experience possible, which keeps them coming back.
• Integrating sales and marketing, as well as any other process that maximizes the returns on marketing investment.

Maintaining communication and relationships across organizational functions in order to work with different departments and manage the revenue generation through those departments.
• Clearly identifying micro-markets and creating specific products targeting those markets.
• Creating a pricing strategy to target those micro-markets so that the highest possible return is generated.
• Monitoring all the revenue streams and adjust as necessary.
• Create, analyze and prioritize the use of analytics to ensure data-driven decision-making across the team

Align
As CRO, we expect that you will have ownership of everything that has to do with revenue. This includes, getting everyone to focus on metrics that matter including peers in the C-suite to teams across the company. To achieve this you will:
• Recruit, train and retain a high-performing team of junior, mid and senior level Sales, Marketing and Partnerships teammates
• Lead innovative sales campaigns in new and existing markets
• Maintain a strong culture reflecting our company ethos of Execution, Excellence and Enterprise
• Key account management and sales to develop a diverse portfolio of sticky clients
• Prioritize knowledge management to ensure consistency of sales materials, sales process, customer acquisition and retention, among others
• Create, analyze and prioritize the use of analytics to ensure data-driven decision-making across the team


Strategic Planning.
Your role plays an important part in projecting confidence and steadiness to the board, investors and key stakeholders through clearly articulated short-, medium- and long-term growth plans leveraging analytics, strategy, and the best talent we can find.

To make this happen, you will:
• Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities
• Provide competitive analysis, strategies and tactics
• Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into product development and enhancement cycles
• Collaborate with finance, product management, marketing, pricing strategies and business models
• Identify and resolve issues across the marketing/sales and account management functions
• Develop short and medium term, growth plans in support of organization strategy and objectives that will enable hyper-growth (10x Revenue/PBT) in the next 5 years

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Proven work experience as a Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Growth Officer or similar role
• Proven track record of growing revenue through new product development, marketing, branding and partnerships
• Proven experience developing and executing business strategy
• Significant general management and P&L experience
• Ability to craft and execute a business strategy

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Goal driven and highly motivated

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

▪ BSc. in any related field and an MBA.

▪ Minimum of 12 years’ Sales Leadership experience in at least 3 of the following: Financial Services, Sales and Business Development, Fintech Sales, IT Infrastructure Sales or Technology Solutions Selling
