Procurement and Logistics Officer.

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.

Our Client, a reputable fashion organization is seeking to hire the services of a qualified and experienced procurement and logistics officer. The Procurement & Logistics Officer is responsible for the entire Procurement and Logistics for the company. This includes ensuring that the quality and volume of the fabrics/materials needed to be sourced/procured and delivered to the production department. He/she ensures the right amount of materials are purchased within the given time frame and such materials/fabrics are suitable for production. This position is responsible for liaising with logistics vendors to ensure timely and efficient deliveries of all finished fashion pieces and customer orders.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with Business Manager regarding clothes material purchasing budgets, analyzing past buying trends, sales records, or economic conditions to anticipate consumer purchasing patterns, determine the styles and quality to purchase and monitor inventory level.

Establish standard operating procedures for purchasing, track and giving feedback on procedures, revise and improve as needed; set monthly, quarterly and annual goals and objectives.

Ensure adequate and presentable packaging of Customer orders in adherence to Company standard.

Ensure proper official communication to the Admin and Customer Experience desk of the logistics status of orders i.e- Tracking exact location, delivery and packaging status.

Responsible for end to end Logistics Operations within Trax apparel.

Ensure that deliveries of all Customer orders, shipment and movement of packages flow in and out within a timely manner.

Monitor the inventory of available and required supplies.

Develop budget for purchasing, ensure all materials are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints; review and approve purchase orders to supplier.

Monitor the performance of suppliers against contractual standards, work with them to achieve continuous improvements in costs and performance.

Manage and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers regarding invoices, claims, and products of non-conformance or quality issues; promote a customer-focused and service-oriented approach in providing services to external and internal customers.

Facilitate the creation and development of competitive processes and third party provider/supplier contract agreements; manage processes and communication involving agreements with providers and suppliers.

Ensure all outgoing fashion pieces abide by company quality guidelines. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of all customers’ orders.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field

Knowledge of apparel merchandising

3-5 years’ experience in same or similar role

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to effectively purchase adequate materials in quality and quantity.

Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions.

Highly organized and well coordinated.

Good Negotiation Skill.

Highly IT literate, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Ability to coordinate travel on the go

Ability to understand and conduct market research

Ability to compare actual resources (man, machine and material) against budgeted resources with an eye for cost reduction and reduction of wastage.

Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation
