Job Overview
Responsible for managing all aspects related to patient care and medical report analyses within the organization. He/She will serve as clinical advisor and provide professional medical advisory to both the clients of Geo Medical Centre and as a representative of the company in cooperate engagement that may require medical insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains personal contact with patients, patients’ relatives (guardians) and assist staff in dealing with complaints.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure good service delivery and smooth operations in accordance with Geo Medical Centre policies and best practices.
- Plans, implements and evaluates all curative activities/ services of the facility and ensures high performance standards.
- Communicates the medical result of individuals and corporate client via email or one-on- one engagement.
- Monitors and maintains standards of clinical practice.
- Prepares in a timely and complete manner reports of all examinations, procedures andother services performed in accordance with the standards and policies of the Centre,and any applicable accrediting, regulating or licensing agencies.
- Advising and counseling of patients.
- Organize regular health education and training to external and internal stakeholders ofthe facility.
- Evaluate patients and provide appropriate medical interpretation for various illnessesand injuries.
- Ensures that patient care is optimal and is in adherence to the clinical guidelines andquality standards.
- Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to company policies and procedure.
- Supervise Medical Assistants to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current care methods and procedures and suggestimprovements.
- Liaising daily with staff including other doctors, non-medical management staff andhealthcare professionals.
- Writing and submitting weekly and/or monthly reports and maintaining updatedrecords.
- Promoting health education
- Other roles as assigned to you by the operations manager or medical director.
Job Requirement
- Medical certification degree
- Must have an up to date practicing medical license
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical practice
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum BLS/ALS
- Professional experience in health care management will be advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in screening, diagnostic procedures and clinicalsupervision and program management.
- Excellent time management with good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of standards (e.g. ISO, SafeCare) and regulations for the clinicalfield
- Proficient in MS Office and computer systems (e.g. patient management software)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
- Candidates must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption letter.
- Knowledge of government contract management and knowledge and experience inorganizational effectiveness and operations management in implementing best practices.
