Job Title: Experienced Welder

Location: Port Harcourt

Duties:

Examines blueprints and plans sequence of operation, applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining and metal thickness

Determining the required tools, materials and welding methods

Assembling, installing and repairing pipe components and systems according to specifications

Inspecting materials, equipment and tools

Maintaining supplies, equipment and tools

Preparing working materials by clamping, cutting or applying chemical solutions to piping

Examining completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth and functional

Observing safety regulations

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification

A minimum of 3 – 5 years experience working as a Mechanical Pipe Fitter / Welder offshore or shipping

Offshore certificates

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, proactively seeking guidance, team working, clarification, and feedback

Ability to detect unsafe/hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment

Willing to work offshore for 8 weeks.
