NGO (Education) Administrator

Our client, a private-led NGO, seeking to transform and reform schools and educational systems in Nigeria, is hiring an Administrator. Successful candidate will be in-charge of building a strong organization through the design, set up and execution of systems and structures, the strategic plan
and funding mechanisms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Keeping a data driven view of the education sector at state and national levels
  • Checking the effects of government education policies
  • Keeping a comparative outlook of what other nations are doing in the sector relative Nigeria
  • Monitoring local impact of global teacher shortage/occupational relocation on: teacher student ratio, quality of education and student performance
  • Developing the structure and systems for high-impact intervention programmes
  • Developing appropriate programme planning and implementing procedures
  • Identifying and exploring funding opportunities
  • Maintaining the secretariat in an orderly and organized manner
  • Making available necessary operational materials and spaces at the right time and quantity
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace
  • Empirically assessing impact of programs and intervention plans
  • Developing comparative analysis of pilot project sample spaces against control spaces
  • Updating progress reports at all levels of activities
  • Keeping a data driven view of the education sector at state and national levels

  • Tracking various intervention programmes by stakeholders including individuals, corporate organizations, government, international community and NGOs
  • Monitoring local impact of global teacher shortage/occupational relocation on: teacher student ratio, quality of education and student performance
  • Developing the structure and systems for high-impact intervention programmes
  • Developing appropriate programme planning and implementing procedures
  • Identifying and exploring funding opportunities
  • Maintaining the secretariat in an orderly and organized manner
  • Making available necessary operational materials and spaces at the right time and quantity
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace
  • Empirically assessing impact of programs and intervention plans
  • Developing comparative analysis of pilot project sample spaces against control spaces
  • Updating progress reports at all levels of activities
  • Maintaining constant communication with teams and team leads
  • Building trust with stakeholders in the sector
  • Build positive relations within the team and external parties
  • Monitoring gaps between design and implementation, and bringing this to the attention of the board

EDUCATION / OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A good first degree in Administration, Education, Management or any related field
  • Masters’ degree in related fields, executive training/experience in project implementation at national level
  • Professional qualification in management, administration or corporate governance
  • At least 2 years of NGO management experience with particular focus on education
  • Candidate must be independent / a self -starter

RENUMERATION

N200,000 – N250,000 PM
