Job Title: Business Manager (Visa and Immigration Consultancy)
Location: Lekki, Lagos State

Main Purpose of the Job
The Business Manager plans, organizes, directs, controls and administers programs of the business. The role will be a key point of contact in relation to operational business and strategic issues impacting both the business and its divisions. One of the key domains of this role will be governance. As part of this, the Business Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of the business planning process of the organizations deliverables and activities. This includes managing organization’s visa and immigration services.

The Business Manager administers, manages and monitors travel and immigration policies, guidelines, and budget in order to ensure efficient and risk-free services to our clients. There is the need to ensure the company delivers specialist, professional travel and immigration advisory services and offers a good range of competitive visa and immigration travel products to meet the demands of our customers. The Business Manager will also ensure that business continuity plans are in place to allow the organization to fulfil its responsibilities.
The ideal candidate must have a strong working knowledge of visas, immigration, travel advisory, consultancy and travel management processes.
The Business Manager is also responsible for developing marketing plans and implementing marketing and business development strategies for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and implement a corporate visa, immigration Andrinna travel policy.
  • Strategically lead team to ensure efficiency in service delivery and customer retention.
  • Oversee the smooth, efficient running of the business.
  • Manage and supervise all client visa and travel advisory travel arrangements assigned.
  • Monitor, supervise and oversee visa and immigration travel advisory officers.
  • Offer and promote company’s services and offerings.
  • Ensure up to date knowledge and compliance with different relevant travel policies and procedures.
  • Suggest improvement and innovation in travel programs.
  • Research destination and travel prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
  • Research and study clients’ specifications and wishes.
  • Suggest suitable travel options that best suite clients’ needs.
  • Maintain trustworthy relationships with travel agencies and vendors.
  • Create bespoke flight itineraries with the additional land arrangement according to customer requirements.
  • Follow Consultative Sales Model to drive sales and develop customer relationships
  • Study competition, conduct benchmark analysis, an identify market trends.
  • Develop marketing plans, including market analysis, marketing strategies, planning, and budgeting for the company and each of the different divisions.
  • Meet monthly sales targets for income and booking conversion
  • Promote and market the business to new or niche markets.
  • Manage budgets and maintain statistical and financial records.
  • Sell travel products and tour packages.
  • Engage clients and provide high level advisory services to them.
  • Source products and destinations to meet consumer demands for bespoke travel and sustainable tourism.
  • Deliver and exceed branch performance and productivity.
  • Keep abreast and up to date with latest trends in the travel industry.
  • Liaise with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules, often a year in advance.
  • Deal with customer enquiries and aim to meet their expectations.
  • Implement alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business goals
  • Meet company directors who advise on strategy and find out about any local issues and future trends.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection and retention of staff as well as payroll matters and staff training.
  • Assure that the clients, partners and governmental bodies are properly compensated and continue to meet the needs of the company.
  • Report to an executive staff member in person of the Managing Partner on all assigned duties.
  • Consistently demonstrate accountability and leadership in managing the company and its employees.
  • Periodically assess overall company performance

Minimum Job Requirements

Education/Certifications:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Tourism, International Relations or any relevant field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related management work experience in similar industry with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
  • Any additional certification related to traveling and tourism will be considered as an advantage.
